Just in time for your Thanksgiving outage window, Microsoft brings you the latest cumulative update for SQL Server 2016. Some highlights include:

  • Memory use higher with many databases
  • Memory leak when you process updates in SSAS
  • Access violation when you cancel a query
  • Access violation when you run sp_xml_preparedocument
  • Incorrect results for PolyBase queries
  • Incorrect results for batch mode hash aggregates
  • Managed Backups doesn’t manage backups
  • Managed Backups fails intermittently
  • Managed Backups fails continuously

Good times. Go download SQL Server 2016 SP1 CU6 now, and here’s to hoping it’s all stuffing, no turkey.
